The Statement Bomber

Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken me aaages to get this post up, but it was honestly because I've just been super lazy, you know when you are fasting for such long hours you literally have no energy to do anything, I mean I can just about get myself to pray and I don't even know how I go to work and even have a smile on (but less than usual of course, because my mouth just gets tired). But, this is all about my super gorgeous bomber jacket and just a ton of pictures really, so enjoy!

(I was at the Saatchi gallery this specific day hence the scenery at the back :) )

Soooo let's talk about this dress. I bought this from H & M and you know what? The thing is this dress is nothing AMAZING you know, but I just love the colour yellow and this was the perfect shade (more like mustard) and as soon as I saw it I thought "OH MY GOD, this would look sooooo good with my new shirt with the amazing sleeves", and my intuition was clearly right (if I must say so myself). So, with a simple dress like this, you can simply go out dressed down, as you would say, to a park, but you can also dress it 'up' like I did. It's the perfect summer dress, so the next time I wear it, I'll dress it down a bit, by wearing a simple full sleeved or 3/4 sleeved top underneath and how the weather is these days in London you probably wouldn't need a jacket either.

Here's me trying out a different pose from the usual (*whilst writing this I'm laughing in my head). My little sister always tells me to try and do other poses and what she says sometimes are a bit ehhh you know, but this one I was literally just fixing my shoes and she was like "OH MY GOD stay there that's a good picture" and I was just thinking ehhh it's not that bad I haven't gotten up yet so might as well, got nothing to lose.

Soooo, I've bought and seen quite a few bombers (mostly in mind for my sister) and they had never been 'THE ONE' you know, but as soon as I saw this I was a bit hesitant (I know not the usual "OH MY GOD..."), but then I tried it on and was still a bit iffy about it, but then I realised it's because it doesn't go at all with what I was wearing at the time, but then I had the yellow dress in my hand and was starting to put the pieces together in my head for this outfit and BA BANG, it was perfect! Until I had gotten home and even worn it a few times, I realised how perfect it is, from the fitting to the pattern and colours, it's just completely different material and design from the usual bomber (not saying that the usual ones aren't nice, because I also love the classic bombers myself). But, I bought this with first the intention that it would be for my sister, but OF COURSE I wore it first and till this day she has not worn it, and I think it's because it might be a bit too flamboyant for her, so to say. But, another interesting thing about this bomber is that I've realised it's not to everyone's taste, it's like marmalade, either you hate it or you love it, because my colleagues LOVED it and some one else said "ehhh it's not quite nice" (a bit of an odd one but yeah). The thing is I don't get offended when people say it, especially when it was my colleagues who said it because they don't say it in a snide/ malicious way to hurt my feelings, they are simply stating their honest opinions, but obviously there are ways to say certain things, so I really appreciated the fact that they told me their honest opinions without saying it in a negative way (if you know what I mean), but I'm just mentioning this, not because it changes my views on whether I'll wear this jacket again (looool NO WAY I LOVE it toooo much to stop wearing it and I've never been the type to get affected by what people say about my clothes and taste in certain things, because if I like what I wear I'll wear it, I don't do it to impress others or to meet other people's expectations and I hope everyone else does the same :) ), it was just interesting to see the complete opposite opinions on this jacket! :)

The many faces of Haafsah Bepari when I'm with my best friend, but these shots were originally meant to be close ups of the jacket:

Yes yes I'm smiling with my teeth, but she just loves it when I smile fully open with everything on display, which she considers the best (she is referring to my best friend just in case you've gotten confused).

Now, this shirt is just to DIE for! As I've always said, I love bell sleeves, puff sleeves anything nice at the end of a long sleeved top. I think by far, this has been THE BEST! If you look closely the sleeves make such a cinched design to it because there are tabs attached to the end of the sleeve, like an umbrella does, so it goes around the wrist and then buttoned and the material of it also makes it all the more puffy, but very easily creased and very hard to iron until completely crease-free. But, that isn't going to stop me from wearing it.

The first time I changed my hijab style only because of this shirt, as I wanted to show off the collar, which I never usually do but for this one I REALLY wanted to. But there isn't much difference from my usual hijab style all I did was not pin the excess material onto the opposite shoulder I just let it hang and tuck in the material around my neck in my collar :)

My jewellery, which is the usual and I've been wearing this necklace A LOT recently, so I even bought the silver version since it was on sale from instagram seller @hautehijab

Dress- H & M (I think it was £25 not entirely sure, but I couldn't find it on the website, but try out the stores).

Jacket- H & M: roughly £50 and not on the site either, so check out the stores, since I bought the two fairly recently

Shirt- Yesstyle: No longer available (sorry people)

Monochrome

Hello people!!! Well, I can see I've changed slightly with the colours I wear recently, because before it would NEVER be black, and if it were it would be certain really nice pieces, but even now I wear more black, but I have to have other colours or prints within the outfit, I have yet a day to come wear I wear all black (let's see what happens :) ). Anyways, enjoy!

I rarely buy things from River island, but I saw this on the mannequin at the entrance as I walked past and it instantly caught my eye, so I walked in straight away and went to it without a second delay and obviously I bought it :o I love the crochet feel to it, which isn't your normal kimono and the length.

A mixture of jewellery as always, where I mix indian pieces as well :) (This is where my id pieces that i wear only once a year come into use and are no longer being worn only twice a year if that).

My gorgeous new shoes! I LOVE the tassels!

The Blue Dress...

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long wait in another blog post, I've just been busy with uni deadlines and then after they finished I was working overtime, so in the free time I did have I was chilling or going out which I haven't been doing, but the point is now I'm back, even though this outfit is from 2 months ago. This dress is just sooooo stunning and the colour gives it that extra oomph and I wish I could wear it everyday, lool, but obviously I can't, so it shall sit in my wardrobe until I find another opportunity to wear it :( Now, you'll just see pictures of me in the dress, because there is honestly nothing much to say I guess, so enjoy!

Obviously I wore a top underneath because there's a hole! And then my scarf started slipping off because of the wind (the problems of a hijabI!) so you can see my inner.

Notice the AMAZING pleats in my hijab from the one and only sahara shawl, which is the satin volumizer and these types of hijab are best I guess for special occasions, it's even nicer than the normal volumizer scarves, because it's slightly easier to wear.

My makeup is just all blue errrthang on my eyes, but no eye shadow, because I don't know how to apply eyeshadow, so I only do it during eid (if that). My lip colour is a lip pen from kiko. Bronzer is from Estee Lauder, which is THE best because it's not obvious like all the contouring everyone does these days, it's just like a shimmer, which is beautiful.

I didn't wear a necklace because I didn't think it was necessary (for once lool).

Don't mind my nasty looking toes, usually they look better, but this just looks horrid, but I only had one picture of my shoes lool.
