Hi
guys! It's me Haafsah (although it may be your first time hearing this
name and your first time seeing me) but this is now going to be the
place where I show my outfits and hope to inspire others as well. As a
Muslim girl, I know that it is quite difficult to find that balance
between modesty and fashion (i.e. dressing up nicely), however I want to
show that it is possible to dress up with modesty, because I'm not
going to lie I seriously think about how I can keep myself covered up
whilst wanting to wear the things I want to wear, but keep my own sense
of style intact. But, I do know that everyone has a different opinion or
idea of what 'modesty' means. My blog, is to show my modesty and my
genuine love for clothes, shoes, jewellery (man you name it!). However, I
do hope to inspire others whoever it may be, Muslims and non-Muslims.
One last thing, is my advice to everyone out there who likes to dress up
in any sort of way: dress for yourself and not according to what others
think of you and what you wear, be confident in yourself and don't
think about other people's opinions, because your life is your life and
not for others to control :)
On this
day I went out with my best friend to South Kensington because I had a
craving for a crepe (yes I know it was all because of a craving, but
what can you do girls). But, this is just my outfit that I put on in the
morning which I ended up loving because of the colour combinations.
At the
moment I have an obsessions with cat-eye sunglasses and this one is from
ASOS (£12) and all you scarfies (who are from London) know that the
scarf you can literally buy from anywhere for £3 in Whitechapel (the
most common place), but I bought mine from Green Street :)
If you
know me, you know I absolutely LOOOOVEE my jewellery! The necklace is
from Zara and the rings are all from Indian stores on Green Street (but
they are quite old so I don't really know the prices, sorry guys).
The final
thing is my shoes! I absolutely LOVE them. They are from Zara and even
for Zara I must say are quite cheap (£29.99) from the new basic
collection. I'm loving the khaki colour and the fact that they are
lace-ups, also the fact that they are small heels for once which means
that I can wear them more often (without having to necessarily kill my
feet because the rest of my heels are quite tall).
Outfit details: Blouse: Next, £30
Trousers: Zara, £29.99 (I think, but went on sale)
Bag: Zara (last year, around £40)
Shoes: Zara, £29.99
Necklace: Zara, (around £30)
Jewellery: An assortment (sorry that's all the info I have on them)
And here's
a final selfie from me! I hope you guys liked my outfit and whoever
sees this comes back to see more. Just a final message: I really want to
use this blog to promote positivity, because after all style should be
unique and about what you want to wear.
Lots of love from Haafsah :)
Beautiful mashallah.. x
