A little bit of tassel...

Hi everyone! So my Easter holidays have started, so I took the opportunity to go out a bit because I still have a lot for work to do for uni (I know it's sad, but that's for all students I guess :| ). But, I just went to watch The Tale of Princess Kaguya, which I should just briefly mention was really good and sad, I just wish in the future Studio Ghibli (if you don't know, man you are missing out on life, so go on google and check it out) starts making less sad films, which are magical and you know just happy like Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away, or every other film except for the past two (The Tale of Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises (which is sooooo sad!)). Anyways i've gone waaay off topic, but here is what I wore that day and I just loved every single piece I wore, it felt simple but not simple at the same time, I know it's a bit weird :/ but enjoy!

The first ever UK branch of the Swedish store Lindex has opened in Westfield Stratford, but the thing is I honestly had no idea, I was just there to do a few things at the bank and then my sister wanted bubble tea and I was like yeah sure lets go, and then I saw all these posters hanging from the ceiling about Lindex and I said to my sister whilst you wait in the queue I'm checking out the shop (lol I know I just left her there, but I mean I don't like bubble tea anyways), and I thought I'd just have a quick look, but I ended up picking out a few things, trying them on and then even purchasing so much (I just couldn't help it!) and this light jacket was one of them. I'll say it now, I think Lindex has stunning pieces, which are for once not fitted, they are really good quality, well cut and just stunning. It feels soooo comfy and elegant, which is precisely the reason why I couldn't help myself you know. This jacket is just perfect for spring/ summer, because it's not just about me being able to cover up because I didn't have to really because the dress is long, but it's simply because its light and easy to wear and you can literally just wear it on practically anything. I love the sleeves, how its elasticated to kind of become bell sleeves but not entirely and the waist tie, so it's basically a lightweight trench (sort of), but I think even better, because I can't always get myself to wear my trench because it's quite stiff, so it's hard to move in.

So, the story behind this dress is literally, I walked into Topshop and it was at the front of the store and I was like (in my head of course) "oooo what's that?!!" and I saw it and the tassels and just fell in love, it's not the usual that I have in my wardrobe and it's not just that, it's simply because its SUCH a simple dress but the tassels just made it WOW. It's literally something you just slip on and just super comfy, because it's loose and straight (well more so because I purposely bought a size larger than I am). As you can see, I'm clearly an impulse buyer, who doesn't think of the consequences (meaning getting beaten up by my mum lol that's a bit of exaggeration but you get the gist).

Obviously I have to show you guys the tassels up close and my lovely new simple, small heeled (so it's easy to walk in) sandals from New Look, which also comes in Black and i've seen on Asos in lilac but cheaper than this because this is partly made of leather (well it had that tag, you know when somethings got some sort of real leather in it and hence the price goes up a bit more or in some cases a lot more, even though I don't care if something is made of leather or not, I mean I would prefer it not to).

I'll take this opportunity to talk about the Sahara shawl scarves (so this will be a little long). So, the Sahara shawl volumizer shawls have ready made pleats and I thought "oooo that's interesting", so I bought one at first, the black one (which I regret, because I don't really wear black, but I spent money on it so I'll force myself to wear it someday with something) and I bought the inner, because I don't think you can buy something from Sahara Shawl if you don't have inner I mean it just makes life waaaayy easier, because you can wear your Hijab loose and still have your neck covered, which is THE BEST! So, at first I was having so much trouble trying to make it work for me, because ever since I started wearing Hijab I've only ever worn those £3 ones from Green Street (or Whitechapel), because they aren't too thick, so I won't get overheated and it's large in size, so I can cover up and sometimes I'll wear H & M scarves, but not all the time because they are really short, so really depending on what I wear i'll wear them. But, with the £3 one's they naturally aren't flat, because I don't like wearing my hijab stuck to my head or face it has to be a little loose and just stay like that, but these scarves are chiffon-like so they will stay flat no matter what, even if they have pleats, so I gave up. But then I tried several times and I finally did it and just fell in love, which is why I'm wearing it practically all the time now, because I don't know how to explain it, but I just wrapped it like I usually do (once) but did it really rough, because these scarves can easily become 'perfect' (i.e. flat and simply follow the shape of your face and head), but I did it in such a way it didn't become flat, but in order to do so, for the first time in my Hijab wearing life I had to use like 4-6 pins (I know right), where I usually wear 1 and then use a safety pin to pin the extra long material onto my shoulder to cover my chest. Also, the next good thing about these is it's super long, so you can always ensure your fully covered and so I'm in love with these scarves and I want more! But, I think it might not be for everyone, but someone like me who thought would never change my scarf at all, I mean I ended up doing so, so maybe if your willing to put your money on the line (because they are quite pricey, but remember FREE DELIVERY), have a try :)

Jewellery, jewellery, jewellery all the time obviously :)

Jacket (There is a website but I can't find it but it's £59.99), check out the website anyways: http://www.lindex.com/uk/ (but it looks better in store).
